What to Bring
More InformationHikers must be fit enough to carry a full pack, and share transport of food, cooking and camping equipment. We supply all equipment and food. Traditionally, we hike into the Grose Valley via Lockley's Pylon track and camp overnight at Acacia Flat. On day two, you ascend either Perry's Lookdown (quite steep) or via the Grand Canyon to Evan's Lookout. Each is stunning, and the chosen exit simply depends on the fitness levels of all walkers. Can be very hot in high Summer, and quite cold in mid-Winter. No open fires are permitted, as this is a declared wilderness area or historical significance.
