I have never felt inspired to write a tripadvisor review before, but this was a truly wonderful day and well worth every dollar. I did the Jameson valley traverse with Daryl and had a fantastic time . Loved the experience of being deep in the forest , with the creeks and wildlife and no other humans, coming across little windows in the greenery looking out onto the vast expanse of the valley with mount Solitary in the distance. The valley of the Waters was breath-taking, particularly the Empress Waterfall, and also Lodor. There were times at the start of the hike when I wondered if my middle-aged body would be able to cope with the challenges presented by the steep slippy downhill, but Daryl continually re-assured me and guided me through, so that my confidence increased and now I want to do more! He is a great guide in every respect, knows loads about the area and is sensitive to the needs of the walker and at assessing what s/he is capable of . I really would recommend spending some time with these guys.... You get to appreciate the mountains in a way just not possible if you stick to the tourist tracks, with safety, local knowledge and good company.
